Jason R. Hayes was born and raised in a small town near Winston-Salem, NC. He graduated from East Carolina University where he was a member of Psi Chi (Psychology Honor Society) and received Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
Mr. Hayes has worked as a claims adjuster with Integon National Insurance investigating and settling automobile accident claims in several different states including California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and North Carolina.
Mr. Hayes attended Wake Forest University for law school. He was a member of the Honor Council and he successfully tried and won his first jury trial as a third year law student. Mr. Hayes graduated in 2001 utilizing a third-year law student practice certificate.
Mr. Hayes opened the Jason R. Hayes Law Firm in 2008 after spending the majority of his first seven years of practice as an Assistant District Attorney and in another local private practice.
Mr. Hayes is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Henderson County Bar Association and the Western North Carolina Collaborative Law Group. He is also licensed to practice in Federal District Court of the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina, as well as, the 4th Circuit of the Court of Appeals.
Mr. Hayes focuses his practice on Family Law and Criminal Law.
Elisa Jarrin was born and raised in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She attended Appalachian State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in International Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in French. Following her time at Appalachian State University, Ms. Jarrin worked at the North Carolina State Employees Credit Union as a Financial Services Officer before she attended law school. Ms. Jarrin attended the Charlotte School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor and Litigation Certificate in 2013. During her time in law school, Ms. Jarrin was a member of both the Trial Advocacy Team and the Moot Court Honor Board and served as President of the Latino American Law Society.
As a student Ms. Jarrin interned at Legal Aid of North Carolina, International Bridges to Justice in Geneva, Switzerland and the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office. Following Law School Ms. Jarrin completed a fellowship with South Carolina Legal Services in Spartanburg, and later returned to the mountains to work as a staff attorney for Pisgah Legal Services. At Pisgah Legal Services she litigated in the areas of Domestic Violence and Landlord Tenant Law. Ms. Jarrin joined the Jason R. Hayes Law Firm in 2015 and practices in the areas of Family Law, Immigration, Criminal Defense and Small Claims Matters.
Ms. Jarrin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Henderson County Bar Association, and the Western North Carolina Collaborative Law Group. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Henderson County and the Advisory Board of the Hendersonville branch of the North Carolina State Employees Credit Union.
Ms. Jarrin is a Native Spanish Speaker and in her spare time enjoys traveling, meeting new people, yoga and spending time with her family, two dachshunds and cat.
